China's Trade Status with the US

It seems as there is trouble in the the trade market with one of the biggest exporters in the world. President Bush White House Conference stated that M.F.N trade status with China will be extended for another year. Bush says that he would never take away M.F.N, which would only hurt the chinese people themselves. To express America's outrage at the tragedy of Tiananmen, Congress and my administration have placed sanctions against China. Bush says that it is America's best interest and the interest of the Chinese people to continue trading with China, not doing so would hurt the United States. If Bush and its cabinet proceed to the sanctions or the banning of Chinese goods, it would dramatically hurt the US economy. China buys around $6 billion a year of American goods. If you lose this market with China, many Americans will lose their jobs stretching all the way from the west coast to the east. Bush says that without M.F.N 4o% of costs from Chinese imports will turn into highher prices for American consumers. Bush's cabinet is not happy with the way things are being ran in Beijing, and Honk Kong will be the innocent victim that will lose plenty more in this sanctions and maybe even ban. 20,000 jobs and $10 billion could be lost in the free enterprise city of Honk Kong. In recent weeks the rest of China have shown steps that shows that they are concerned of the way things are going.

Education Crisis

It is true that minorities have a harder time in getting a higher education. A reason being is that they don't have the money to pay for college or university. Many minorities want to go to college to further their learning, but are insted hit with the reality that higher learning is expensive. Without the help of goverment aid, it is harder for a minority to be able to say i want to go to the best university this country has to offer. I agree when you say why do only african americans or hispanics have to be stereo-typed as poor. There are many white americans that are poor that cant afford to go to college. Tuition for school's keeps rising every year, but yet the goverment is cutting back financial grants and loans. Maybe, the goverment thinks that the war is more important than the education our students receive. I believe that Texas should switch to what California is doing with their higher learning. Everyone goes to a community college for two years at no cost to the student. The only cost comes when they decide to go to a university. Texas is paying the cost, Texas is ranked in the bottom of the list for education and they still havent come up with a plan to try to fix that.

Housing Loss Crisis

The United States of America is facing a severe crisis. Many people are losing their houses, and the goverment hasn't really done anything from stopping the rapidly increasing house foreclosures. A man by the name of Barack Obama has a plan to pump $30 billion into the economy to shield homeowners and local goverment from the worst collapse of the housing bubble. He said that the goverment was to blame for not being able to take care of the banks that were writing bad loans or stepping in to help the thousands of people that are declaring foreclosure and bankruptcy. I agree with this program, i believe that it will help out banks, local goverment, and thousands of homeowners. This money will help alot of poeple keep their houses, and stop the economy from going into a depression. Obama has great plans that will truly be able to help or struggling economy. Obama opposed what McCain had to say about this topic. McCain believes that goverment has no intervention in bailing out banks, homeowners, or the housing market. Obama has a better approach to the housing crisis, McCain is not going to do anything for the struggling homeowners, or the economy.

Clinton or Obama?

The race for the presidency has seen major turnout from voters. The question is who will win Texas and Ohio for the Democratic Party. Obama has the momentum, but Clinton holds the Latino suppport that could determine who wins the Texas, Ohio primaries. In Super Tuesday Clinton held the hispanic vote 63% to Obama's 35%. Obama led with the African American vote 76% to Clinton's 18%. It is true that the black and hispanic vote will have something to do with who is going to represent the Democratic party come November. This article says that Hispanics, or African American wont have the last word, it says that Anglos will be the deciding factor on who becomes the Democratic candidate. It states that Hispanic and African American vote are evenly supporting the democratic candidates, and that the Anglo vote will decide who the winner will be. I think that the Anglo vote will affect the race but not as much as the Hispanic and Afican American vote. These candidates are candidates that we've never had before, a woman and a African American man running for the presidency. Women and Hispanics want Hillary to win the Democratic party, African Americans and men want Obama to win. As soon as March 5th comes around we will be able to see who will be our Democraic candidate. I think that if either one of these Democrats candidate wins office they should elect the other running democratic candidate as their Vice President.

Bush's New Budget

President Bush introduced a $3.1 trillion budget plan to congress. It supports dramatic increases in military spending, and it also protects his signature tax cuts. The goverment has spend $3 trillion dollars in a 12 month period dor the first time in history. He wants $196 billion to go to Medicare and Medicaid programs. Bush's campaign has been projected to have left a this country with a record build up of debt. He wants more money to fund the unecessary war in Iraq, and to give citizens tax cuts. These tax cuts will only help the wealty like himself, and farther cut down the middle class. The goverment is going to have to borrow more money from China, and Japan. It seems to me that the only good that is going to come out of this is the $145 billion stimilus package. This might help the econmy for a couple months but will not help lift the economy from a upcoming recession. The $600 dollars that people are going to receive are not going to stabilized this economy. I pay twice as much each semester for college, those $600 dollars dont even cover two months of my car payment. I know the middle class will use that money to pay of debts and buy neccesaties. But after they waste that money we'll be in the same spot were we are. The goverment needs to start taxing the rich with higher interest and give the middle and poor class a break. Bush should not be asking for money to be used in the military or in his so call "War on Terrorism", there is no terrorist danger to our country, the only thing we need to fear is our own goverment.

Pentagon Unveils the 2009 Proposed Budget

The Pentagon unveils its 2009 proposed budget, which shows the annual military receiving $515.4 billion. The military will use that money for various operations in the Pentagon, and the military. This money will not be used for the war in Iraq or nuclear weapons. The 2009 military spending will increase for the 11th year, Pentagon officials have also proposed an extra $70 billion for the war from October the 1st until the next president takes office. This is a lot of money that is going to go into the Pentagon to support a war that cannot be won, while politicians are throwing money at the military our nation is in danger of falling into a recession. This money should be put into our economy to start more jobs, financial aid for students, and to make social security more dependable, or to help the millions of US citizens have affordable insurance. This money should go into something that will help the economy, and not something that will hurt us in the future.
